We are delighted that you have chosen to visit our web site to seek information about the Town Council or as our site grows, information about our Town and places to stay and visit.
We are proud of our town which offers many unrivalled attractions: the beautiful, unspoilt country side ideal for walking, pony trekking and mountain biking; leisure and sporting pursuits, including fishing in the renowned Wye and Irfon Rivers; a golf course and Sports centre providing a wide range of facilities. Along the River Wye you can play tennis, use the dog free children area or walk or cycle along safe footpaths. In the evenings you can take in a live show, a film or a satellite live performance at the Wyeside Arts Centre.
Our town hosts the prestigious Royal Welsh Show which takes place in July and attracts 245,000 people to our town. There are other very interesting events throughout the year, pony and horse events; dog shows; farming events and antique and collectors fair with much more.
